Recommended Navigation App https://www.alltrails.com/en-gb
GPX Navigation File - https://www.alltrails.com/en-gb/explore/map/ben-hike-a3545bd?u=m&sh=bclpjv
There is sporadic phone signal around the hike, it is recommended you download an "offline" version of the trail for navigation. Without a navigation app it will be easy to get lost.
With the amount of people attending it is inevitable that we will split into smaller groups. The first hour of the hike is by far the hardest, this is a steep scramble up a stream. It is then roughly 2-3 more hours until the summit, there is a nice meeting point before the summit where we plan to wait for everyone to catch up and have lunch, we will then go to the summit as a group. After the summit people can make their way round and back down. The plan is to meet in the pub next to the car park.
The pub is called "The Ramblers Inn" and is a 30 second walk from the car park https://maps.app.goo.gl/Fb7E2GU5ox824paL7
People are ofcourse free to leave whenever they wish and do not need to wait for anyone else.
Ideally we will get photos in the car park before we start, at the summit and in the pub afterwards.
